During October I will be exhibiting a new series of mixed media oil paintings at Woodside Gallery in Craighurst.

This body of work combines the power of observation and my love of the beach. Starting from aerial photographs documenting the negative spaces of people on the sand, I zoom in to reveal possible storylines based on personal experiences, universal truths and cultural stereotypes. Typically seen as an environment of play and relaxation, when examined closely, this beach often reveals what makes us human, animal, or alien in relation to others.
