An extension of an independent project in which I am drafting postcards from a variety of trees to politicians who have little concern for the ecological sustainability of their cities and constituency, (Doug Ford!), Postcards for Trees is an interactive workshop designed for all ages and skill levels in which members of the community are invited to take up speculative writing in order to compose a letter to their or from their favourite tree on seed paper. Also invited to experiment with leaves and the pigment of leaves as mark-making tools, participants can choose to mail their postcard as a form of activism, plant their postcard near their favourite tree or leave it with me for a future mailing or planting. To read the postcard from which this workshop evolved, click here.
