LANDMARKS are part of my observational drawing practice that acknowledges where and how other actants draw.  Land Marks are a series of drawings that emerged from waiting in a hotel parking lot north of Toronto.  Industrial scars seemingly executed by humans, I recognized that it is actually the earth shifting, separating and sinking that produces the cracks / lines needed to be filled. Titled for other transportation infrastructures, these photographs document how humans constantly try to reorganize, repair and relegate an entity far more powerful than we could ever imagine; nature.
